what a great day for packages! i've recently discovered vintage frankoma pottery and was thrilled to find four cups and saucers with such graceful proportions from the 1950's on e-bay. the little dessert plates in the top image make a perfect addition to my "all green dishes" collection. i needed some small plates and pattern on these is such a lovely mix of earthy and modern. i like to mix and match different styles and eras of tableware, so i chose a unifying color and they all look wonderful together. plus, when i find that one cool plate at the thrift store, it fits.

this earthenware jug is a piece from my childhood. today it holds some leftovers from fall that i cannot part with. the bright orange lantern pods are so cheery!

in recent years i've not been one for holiday decorating, but i was so charmed by this tiny silver tree, i had to claim it. even unadorned, it is delightful to come home to, sitting pretty in my front window.
