found love: vintage photos of dogs

LON19296.jpg

a little whimsy for your friday. everyone that knows me in the real world is well aware how much i adore my little dog, mia. she's a little old lady now, but still as sweet, funny and full of personality as ever. this life of mine would be a much darker place without mia by my side. i don't write about her here on found object, just like i don't write about my family or who i am dating. yet she's right here under my desk when i write and a constant inspiration for me to get out of the house and explore the world. she lives to stop and smell, well, all that stuff at her level. which has me stopping to smell the flowers and look at the sky. a great service indeed.

the wonderful blog, cute overload, had a link to this collection of photos by elliot erwitt. the one above is a perfect vintage stand-in for a portrait of mia and i. i love the mood and composition of this piece. if you love dogs as much as i do, you'll love to have a look at these.

Hi Tay, your jewelry and talent are truly amazing. Thank you for sharing your blog about your life w/ breast cancer. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and trials that surround you. Hope you find some solace. My prayers to you.
